Four of China’s biggest state-owned property developers — Poly, China Merchants, China Overseas, and China Resources — all approved us as a vendor. Same company, four separate procurement processes, four separate teams saying yes.

If you’re not familiar with the Chinese market: these are massive, risk-averse organizations that develop across hundreds of cities. Getting through their vetting once is hard. Getting through it four times isn’t luck.

So what’s actually going on here.

Poly signed with us first, years ago, and has kept renewing. That matters more than the initial win — it means our systems held up under real, ongoing use. The other three came later, each running their own independent evaluation, and each landed on the same conclusion.

Part of it is that we build everything ourselves. The AI recognition, the hardware, the cloud platform — no outsourced pieces, no finger-pointing when something goes wrong. One platform can manage access control across hundreds of sites at once, whether that’s cloud-hosted, private cloud, or fully on-premise.

But honestly, the bigger reason is what happens after the contract is signed. A lot of vendors look great during the bidding stage and then fall apart on delivery. We keep local engineers on the ground so we can respond fast instead of routing everything through a call center. That’s the part that made Poly renew before the other three had even signed.

Winning the bid is the easy part. Staying is the actual test.
